In my family, the tradition is that your God Mother throws you a bridal shower. My aunt who is my God Mother lives out of town, but still wanted to host my big day for me. So we decided to have it at my place and she would host from there.
If this isn’t your first time visiting my blog then you already know that I love DIY projects and hosting parties. I loved having a part in the decorating process.
I hope you enjoy my the tips below for creating the perfect rustic bridal shower ideas party.
Idea 1: Wow your Guests with an Eye-Catching Wine Barrel Dessert Table
My now husband and I had recently become wine club members so we went to our wine club and asked them if we could buy 2 old barrels from them. They said yes! They even decided to give them to us for free.
Then we had some old worn-out boards that I placed on top of the barrels to create our dessert table.
Idea 2: Impress Your Guests with a Galvanized Flower Stand
I found a galvanized letter of our soon to be initial of our new married name. The back side of the letter was open with no backside.
I then used floral styrofoam and then cut it to fit perfectly into the letter. I then took the floral styrofoam out and soaked that different pieces. I then placed the wet floral styrofoam back into the galvanized letter.
Next, I bought flowers and cut the stems to fit nicely into the floral styrofoam. I made this the day before my bridal shower and refrigerated it until the party.
I then used an old picture frame stand to hold the letter upright. I placed the letter on the stand and it was a little wobbly at first so I tied some twine around the letter securing it to the picture frame. You could also just leave the letter against a wall.
Idea 3: Have your Guests to Enjoy their Sweets in Style with a Galvanized Cupcake Stand
I love the look of this cupcake stand! It is a 3 tier stand that I used to hold the cupcakes. I also used cupcake holders and cute cupcake toothpick signs “I do”. I couldn’t find the same “I do” toothpicks, but I was able to find these beautiful gold heart toothpicks.
Idea 4: Draw your Guests Attention to your cake with an Elegant Cake Stand
This cake stand was a nice elegant touch to my cake display. The stand is a beautiful white wood box.
Idea 5: Add some Flare with Tissue, Tassels, and Garland
Add some fun textures with tissue pom poms, tissue tassels, and paper garland. I went with the color scheme of mint, gold, peach, and cream colors.
Idea 6: Get some Rustic Charm with a Burlap Banner
Add a burlap banner, such as Miss to Mrs. to your rustic bridal shower decor.
Idea 7: Make your Guests Awe
Use a photo of the couple from their engagement photos and put it in a beautiful distressed wood frame. My guests enjoyed this little touch.
Idea 8: Keep your Champagne on Ice in Style
To keep the champagne on ice I created large ice cubes with flowers to add an elegant touch inside of a galvanized drink tub.
Idea 9: Rustic Dating Photo Banners
Take photos from your dating days and put paper dollies behind your photos. Then using laundry clips clip the photos to twine and hang the photo banner as party decor.
Idea 10: Keep your Guests Happy with a Fun and Creative Mimosa Bar
Fill a couple of glass jars with different fruit juices and then cut up fruit that people could add to their mimosas. I also found this cute and simple plastic champagne glasses to put the mimosas in.
Idea 11: Large Rustic Wood Chalkboard Sign
Create a cute welcoming sign or write your menu on a large rustic chalkboard sign.
